Originally trained by the Boston Ballet School, as soon as he moved to NYC he knocked on the doors and handed his resume to all the great studios in the city. J-W now plays regular classes at
Joffrey Ballet School, The Ailey School, and Ballet Academy East.

He also regularly subs for New York Theatre Ballet, Marymount Manhattan College, Peridance, Gibney Company, and others.
​
He plays for multiple styles, including: Ballet, Graham, and Tap.

Outside of dance he has worked as an accompanist for NYC theaters and venues such as 54 Below, Green Room 42, SoHo Playhouse, The Theater Center, The Tank and regional theaters such as Huntington Theatre in Boston, The Old Globe in San Diego, St. Louis Rep in St. Louis and even for MIT (yes, that MIT).
